About Us
The Bay Area Runner's Club (BARC) is made up of runners and walkers from the mid-eastern counties of Michigan, mainly Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties.
BARC puts on or assists with over 30 race events each year on a year round basis. Most races are 5K to 10K in distance, although BARC does assist with an annual Marathon/20K race each July, and a 1/2 Marathon in September.
All of BARC's races are made up of runners and walkers of all fitness and experience levels.
Benefits of becoming a member include receiving a discount on entry fees at most BARC races and receiving the club newsletter FOOTPRINTS about 9 times a year.
BARC also holds club meetings most months. These meetings are open to all club members and anyone interested in knowing what's happening within our club. Meetings are usually held the 4th Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Bay Area Family Y.
BARC is also a member of the Road Runner Club of America.
